Arusha and Maasai-rooted journey

Our story

Born in Maasailand.
Built for meaningful journeys.

A locally owned East African travel company headquartered in Arusha.

Who we are

We know the difference between seeing a place and being welcomed into it.

GEDESA Tours & Travel began with a simple idea: travellers should experience East Africa with the depth, warmth and confidence that only a strong local team can provide.

Our sample founder profile is Lemayan K. Mollel, Founder & Lead Journey Designer. Lemayan is a temporary sample founder profile for the development website. Replace this paragraph later with the real GEDESA founder story, tourism experience and connection to Maasai heritage and East Africa.

Our roots inform our values—hospitality, courage, respect for land and responsibility to community. Cultural experiences must be built with hosts as partners and paid fairly.

Planning questions

Helpful sample answers for future travellers.

How far in advance should we book?

For peak travel months, sample guidance is six to twelve months. Gorilla permits, migration camps and family rooms can require earlier planning.

Can the itinerary be customised?

Yes. Every sample journey can be adjusted by destination, pace, lodge category, activities, dates and budget.

How are payments handled?

The preview shows a deposit-and-balance workflow. A real payment gateway and company bank details must be configured before production.

Do you support families and children?

Yes. Sample family programmes include shorter drives, child-friendly lodges, flexible meals and age-appropriate activities.

Can we combine safari and Zanzibar?

Yes. Northern Tanzania connects conveniently with Zanzibar through scheduled domestic flights.
